Apprenticeships…

At The Boutique Atelier we are always looking forward and that not only means in our hairdressing but also looking forward at the next generation of hairdressers. We take 3 new apprentices every summer. Our apprenticeships on average take 3 years to complete. However it is possible to fast track and complete in 2 years depending on their dedication and commitment to training.

Our apprentices work full time including 1 day a week attending the Andrew Collinge graduates academy in Liverpool. All their training events and education days at college are paid for by the salon as well as a wage while they train.

They receive 1 full days training at the Andrew Collinge Academy as well as 3 hours a week dedicated 1 on 1 in-salon training. During each day at the salon they work along side award winning hairdressers who talk them though what they are doing and help them with learning the skills needed for hairdressing.

They have the opportunity to travel to London each year to attend the Salon International trade show and our assistants which excel have the chance to work both backstage and on stage at events though out the year assisting Richard and other team members. Our previous apprentices have gone on to win countless industry awards and work at London fashion week, red carpet TV events and on magazine photoshoots.

Training sessions for our apprentices take place on Tuesday 9-12 and 12-3 and we are always looking for hair models for them. If you are interested in helping our apprentices with their education and allowing them to cut, colour or style your hair please speak with our apprentices in salon and they can book your appointment.

All appointments on our training mornings include your blow-dry, please note photos will be taken of your hair for our students evidence for college.
